Wenzhou XiFa Electrical Power Equipment Co., Ltd is a professional factory to manufacture electrical transformers, such as 10 to 35kv oil immersed transformer, dry type transformer, pole mounted transformer, pad mounted transformer, and compact transformer substation. The factory is headquartered in Yueqing Economic Developing Zone, Yueqing City, Zhejiang Province, China. Wenzhou XiFa strictly follow the requirements from ISO certification system to produce each electrical transformers as requirements from domestic and overseas Clients.

Q: What is an Electrical Transformer?
A: An electrical transformer is a static electromagnetic equipment that transfers electricity between two or more circuits through mutual induction, without changing the frequency of the alternating current. An electrical transformer enables efficient voltage transformation such as stepping up or stepping down, while preserving power balance, to make it indispensable in power systems.
l Primary Classification:
By Application:
1. Power transformer: Used in transmission and distribution networks for voltage level conversion;
2. Distribution transformer: final step down to utilization voltage, of which transfers from 10kV to 400V. Commonly, distribution transformer is classified as pole mounted transformer and pad mounted transformer;
3. Instrument Transformer: Includes current transformers and potential transformers for metering and protection;
4. Specialty Transformers: Rectifier, autotransformer, isolation, furnace, and audio transformers for niche applications.
By Cooling Method:
1. Dry type transformer: it is air cooled; the windings encapsulated in epoxy or resin, which does not have flammable liquid;
2. Oil Immersed transformer: Core and windings submerged in insulating oil; oil circulates for cooling and insulation;
3. Forced oil circulation transformer: Oil pumped through radiators or water coolers, of which the transformer is used for large transformers, such as the capacity is larger than 100 MVA.
By Phase Configuration:
1. Single phase transformer : it is used in residential and light commercial loads.
2. Three phase transformer: it is standard in industrial and utility systems. It is more efficient for high power transmission.
l Key Applications:
1. Transmission Systems: Step up electrical transformers at power plants increase voltage, such as from 11kV to 500kV to reduce energy losses over long distances.
2. Distribution Networks: Step down electrical transformers reduce voltage to safe levels for end users, such as transfer from 11kV to 400V.
3. Industrial Facilities: Power large motors, welding equipment, and process lines with customized voltage requirements.
4. Renewable Energy: Interface solar PV and wind farms to the grid via step up transformers.
5. Electronics and Control: Small power transformers supply low voltage DC via rectifiers in consumer devices.
6. Rail and Metro Systems: Special traction transformers convert grid power for electric trains.
